My kids taught me everything I don't know.

Because We’re Living In a Digital World

September 26th, 2007 · 1 Comment

My camera captures some crazy moments (see here). I plan to relive them and laugh again when I am finally in the “home” in between crocheting doilies waiting for the prune juice to take effect.

My scrapbook of memorable mothering moments (that my crafty daughter will have to make for me because I am too lazy busy unmotivated lazy, wouldn’t be possible without my digital camera. Now that I started saving some of my parenting prowess on my blog, I use my digital camera all the more. This seems to annoy the kids which means I will continue to do it.

Since I am doing most of my Christmas shopping online this year, I am getting a new one (like this one Nikon D300) for my dad. He has an old one that takes 3.5 floppy disks and the poor man thinks he is a technological trail blazer. (Well, I have met his friends. Maybe he is?) Of course I will need to take the obligatory 3 hours to explain how to turn it off and on but I will pay the kids to take over with the directions after that. I will be off the hook, Granddad has bonding time with the kids, they will get $10 and everyone is happy. Ho-ho-ho.

…Now if I could only get him to get people’s heads in his photos we would be all set. It’s hard arguing who that is in the picture when all you have to go on is shoulders and a neck…

“technology trailblazer” LOL. I am sure it will be off the hook in everyway possible. These cameras are crazy nowadays how great they take pictures and movies and how much they hold, but you still need someone to decipher all the photo jargon to figure out how to set the settings and click it correctly. I am glad my bro-in-law is a professional photo dude and hooks my settings up “skillfully.”
