I was going to use a beautiful photo of this particularly even field of winter wheat for a “Wordless Wednesday” type of post.
Driving by it, I commented to my son that this field is probably the greenest green you’ll ever see.
“I would need proof,” he says to me.
“Speaking of which, I got some in the mail today. Your mid-semester report card, ” I countered.
“Oh. I really didn’t miss that many Math assignments. The teacher had it wrong.”
“I would need proof,” I said.
“Boy Mom, that field really IS green.”
Read it and weep.

Don’t you love how they blame the teacher? As if you’d believe it….

Is it so difficult for kids simply to say, “Yes, Mom, you’re right, that is the greenest green.” Maybe next time he will!

That is hysterical…and so VERY much like the conversations had around here! I’ve seen greener though…but, don’t tell him!

Nice retort son. That retort is certainly worth archiving in written word format for later enjoyment.

That field is green. Would my neighbor’s lawn count as a field? ‘Cuz his lawn is GREEN. Otherwise I see nothing but brown fields, so that would be the greenest field I’ve ever seen.

I only wish my yard was 1/2 as green as the field. True, though needing proof for everything….that is my son too.
