Today was party day and the Megastation was fabulous in the pool. The 87 degree day was made to order. All of the kids were home and the cousins arrived so we donned our suits and had a great meal with the two “college kids to be” before they go off. It was pretty typical – most of the young people ended up leaving early. One had to go to work, one went to the Buffalo Bills game when an unexpected ticket came her way, and two left to go to another party. (The Bills won the game – and that isn’t typical.)
We ended the day by watching the movie “17 Again” and surprise – I liked it. Not really a big Zac Efron fan but he was pretty good. I had tried to get the remaining party goers to watch “The Big Sleep” with Humphry Bogart but got a thumbs down. His witty repartee is great and the kids would really have enjoyed it, but apparently
Humphry doesn’t have Mr. Efron’s appeal.
I suppose choosing “17 Again” was more appropriate when the reason for the party was a final summer send-off for the college kids. While they will never be 17 again, they don’t even think that 1946 even existed. Times change but some things remain constant. Someday they will watch it and think they discovered something fabulous and ask me why I never exposed them to the old classics.
At any rate, it’s now twelve days and counting.

I love watching old classics!! I want to see 17 again. It sounds like it might be fun to watch with Princess Belle.

This is a great personal site that you have here. I have site myself where people can debate on controversial topics, 24/7. It’s time for there to be more power to the people.
When you get a chance, let me know what you think. Also, maybe we can do a link exchange or something. Let me know.

I haven’t seen 17 Again, but I would watch a Humphrey movie any day. I bet you’re right – someday they’ll take an interest in a (gasp) black & white movie!
