Reunion in NYC

August 5th, 2010 · 3 Comments

I just returned from a reunion trip to New York City to see my college roommate and a friend. We had a great time and walked miles even in the 90 something degree heat.

That’s one place I wouldn’t want to drive. A taxi ride is like exercise-it made me sweat. I thought teaching my kids to drive was bad. At least they speak English. Both types of drivers ignored me.

Got some new blisters, photos, tourist bling and memories. And some credit card activity to show for it.

Glad to be back home where the dog and cat missed me and the rest of the family doesn’t believe that I didn’t get lost at least once.

No. My sense of direction isn’t any better. I just ask a lot more questions now. And I don’t care if I look stupid either. Turns out it saves a lot of time to get help.

    Welcome back!
I have never been to New York but have taught a couple teenagers to drive and can relate!

whatever your sense of direction is, it can’t be worse than mine, which is truly pityful…If I have 4 possible directions, I will take the wrong one five times. Not even almost kidding.

On a visit to London with my grandad driving, we were lost for hours all because he was too proud ‘dumb’ to ask for directions. Thankfully he has no plans to visit NY!
