When it’s time to get away, you need to have a spot to go to. A lot of folks are considering getting their own beachfront rentals so that they know exactly what to expect when they vacation. Perhaps it’s time you visit this link and see what is available.
There are properties for rent all over the country in various types of place, but if the beach is your thing, this is the spot for you to check out! Bring the beach into your life more often – consider a rental.
So we just finished a two-week stretch of 10 degree or below weather in here in Upstate New York. Long about January or so, the thought of hotels in myrtle beach start sounding pretty good.
In fact, some people start dreaming about them and might be heard uttering cuss words expressing the desire, or shall I say, intense desire, to be anywhere but shoveling their driveway when there is a risk of frostbite in the air. Yes, the thrill of a white Christmas has long since passed and a bout with warmer winds would be welcome. When those thoughts pop into your head, visit sites like bookit.com where you can do some shopping for possible spots to stay on your next winter break. When I went to the site, they had a 60% off sale on a Myrtle Beach vacation so it’s one place to begin your comparison shopping for your winter getaway.
Are you ready for a trip? Is it time for a vacation? Heading to Orlando and don’t know where to stay? Well…

Think about Westgate. Westgate has a large number of resort hotels in Florida, Utah, Tennessee, Virginia, Missouri, and South Carolina that you might want to take a look at. Don’t know much about Westgate Resorts? Well, here’s the skinny.
Westgate Resorts is the third-largest timeshare company in the world with net sales growing at an average of 20% annually over the last decade, far exceeding the industry average. Approximately 7,000 villas are being developed by Westgate Resorts in Central Florida alone. The United States is the leader in vacation ownership with more than 1,200 resorts, which represent over two million owners.
Now, let’s get to some specifics about accomodations, shall we? The key to Westgate Resorts’ success is defined by their service philosophy:
“We fulfill our guests’ dreams by providing a quality vacation experience that exceeds all expectations.”
They claim that responding to the needs of middle-class families by providing an affordable luxury vacation with first-class accommodations is their goal and they want to help owners enjoy their investment by providing luxury villas that include such amenities as whirlpool tubs, large-screen TVs, leather furnishings, fully equipped kitchens, and screened-in patios or porches. I will take me some of that. To learn more about Westgate, call their toll free number: 1-877-288-7422 and see what they can do for you.
According to my children, when it came to vacations, I was very mean. Well, my husband and I were both mean because we decided to pick places to visit on vacation where the kids could actually learn something too. When we stayed somewhere, we visited all the museums around and showed them the basic things that a certain location was known for. In addition, we stayed in historic hotels and pointed out why they were so. Like when visting Utica, NY (and saw all the historic places
associated with Utica Club beer, for example) you can stay at the Hotel Utica. Talk about a piece of history – just look at it. This hotel is nestled in the foothills of New York’s Adirondack Mountains in the heart of downtown. This hotel was close to the Children’s Museum of History, Natural History, Science & Technology, the Adirondack Scenic Railroad heritage railway and the Utica Zoo so we had lots to do. So take a trip and make it a learning trip. And have fun too.
If the thought of taking a premium vacation on the Outer Banks sounds good to you, I have a place to go to make your plans.

When you have never been to a certain location, you often don’t know where to start, but luckily there are resources like www.carolinadesigns.com. This company has been in business for over 20 years, which certainly gives me a feeling of confidence as opposed to the fly-by-night companies that fax me junk faxes about miracle priced vacations that you know are just trouble. Carolina Designs is your resource when you want to rent one of the finest beach homes on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. You can vacation in Corolla, Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Southern Shores. On this site you will find thousands of vacation home images, views, floor plans and much more so before you book a vacation, check out what they have to offer first.
Most college kids go to Daytona, which has always been my nightmare that one of my girls will go there and do something dumb. (Having been young and stupid once, I know it can happen to anyone.) Well, not to worry anymore. My daughter decided instead to go to Vegas. Remember the everything “stays in Vegas”? Me too so of course, I felt sooo much better about her vactation destination. Not.
She is amazing though and found a deal where she gets a flight there, 5 days at a four-star hotel for only $350. She used the Internet to help find the hotel for the five girls that are traveling together at this site ivegas.com. So it turns out there are a plethera of las vegas hotels to choose from so it was nice to have a spot to get a hotel-by-hotel listing of specials (love that!) and to see what dates are available right on the site. It’s even got photos of the inside and outside of each of the places and their complete contact info so you can get what you need online.
Now the part that really does make me feel better. My sister-in-law, who lives in LA, is booking a time share in Vegas just to SEE her on her trip. Can you say “built in supervision”? I love my family.
Now what happens in Vegas will get reported, eventually.
My family is currently contemplating taking a cruise – the whole extended family- not just my kids and hubs. Whether or not that might technically be defined as a “vacation”, it would be a cruise to remember. Ah-hem. One of the places we are examining is My Cruise Getaway because they offer many different types of cruises and they advertise that some of them are available at up to 75% off. That was enough to capture my attention.
In addition to the popular spots like Las Vegas and Orlando and others, they offer trips to Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, the Caribbean, New England coast and more. Someone in my family wants to go to the Panama Canal and we are researching what trips that might take us on. Myself, I would rather go to the Caribbean and look for Jack Sparrow, drink some rum and lay on the beach toasting my age spots but whatever. On the site, you can pop in how many people you have, where you want to go or what cruise line you would like, and they will call you with a quote – that is very nice. And the Panama Canal is listed there so we may just take advantage of that. If you are contemplating a cruise like we are, it’s worth a check.
Let me tell you about what an annoying and most likely rip off this outfit is. They send faxes at undgodly hours (yes, some of us have a fax in our homes!) and then when you ask to be taken off their list, they don’t do it.
I thought everyone knew about how these deals work but apparently not, as they are still trying to soak people. They can’t even use one phone number because people will get wise to them and probably turn them in to some authority for being a consumer scam. My advice if you see one of these offers? DON’T DO IT!
These type of offers are too good to be true and usually are. I have gotten multiple flyers that look exactly like this but use a different phone number for the different locations. If you look at the bottom, there is a number to call to have your fax number removed. I must have called it 6 or 7 times but I still get the stupid faxes.
When I called the toll free number to speak to a real person, I got a very rude and snotty man who didn’t care that it was 7 a.m. and this was a residential number they are sending faxes to. I would not recommend doing any business with this type of company and remember that if something looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Every time one of our children graduate from high school, we celebrate with a trip to Disney World in Florida. So far, we have taken two Orlando vacations and we expect (and hope) that next year, there will be another and final one.
Disney is one of our favorite places but we have gone off the reservation each time we go to Orlando because there is so much there. Last time, we visited Universal Studios too. Planning can be a bit overwhelming but there are places to go to find some of the packages being offered and get one that suits your vacation desires. OrlandoThemeParkVacations.com has a wide variety of packages that include special offers and coupon books for your to explore. There are trips from 3 days in length and up that include options to visit Orlando’s more than 100 theme parks and/or attractions. I am already checking out what our family wants to do while we are there – why don’t you?
When you are going on a trip, the last thing you think about is something going wrong. But it should get some consideration. You never know when the unexpected might happen. This Web site has a wide variety of travel health insurance plans available and an easy to use “Policy Picker” for you to find exactly what insurance policy you might need for the dates of your trip. Very handy. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is also some helpful information that will answer some of the basic questions you might have including what travel insurance is and why it’s a good idea to have some. And while you’re at it, check out some of the testimonials on the site from real customers that had their investment (yes, a trip is an investment) protected when something went wrong.
