Minders' Keepers Submission Guidelines  GENERAL RULES English language submissions of up to 750 words or less are accepted. Submission fees are due in U.S. funds. Your story submission must be your own creative work and may not infringe on other copyrighted works. You may submit as many stories as you wish but each humorous story must be submitted separately, with a separate entry fee. Material that has been previously published elsewhere is welcome, providing it meets all other requirements.  Stories are submitted through the Minders' Keepers online submission form. Your name and state are considered part of your submittal and will be published along with your story.  You may request that your first name and last initial only (Ex: Jane D.) are published with your story. Check the appropriate box on the submission form when submitting your story. All contact information is kept strictly confidential. We reserve the right to not use (reject) a story based on lack of suitabilty, skill level, or the judgement of the editors of Minders' Keepers. SUBMISSION FEE Submission fee is $10, payable in U.S. funds.  Your fee can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or PayPal Account at the time of your submission through PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account to use this option. Submission fees are nonrefundable. Paying the $10 submission fee and filling out a submission form does not guarantee publication of your story in Minders' Keepers. NOTIFICATIONS Writers of submissions for Minders' Keepers will be notified by e-mail within three weeks of the receipt of both their submission form and $10 submission fee.    Works submitted that are chosen for publication will be notified within eight weeks of submission. Writers of submissions to be printed in Minders' Keepers will be notified by e-mail within two weeks of final publication. Upon publication, purchasing information and links will be provided via e-mail for writers to be able purchase the book online at that time. Book purchase is not a requirement for a Minders' Keepers submission. COPYRIGHT INFORMATION  We retain the right to publish your sumbission in Minders' Keepers.  You keep ownership of your submission and all other rights, including publishing it separately or in a collection of your own work.  If selected as a published author of a story in Minders' Keepers, MP Fagan, LTD has the right to publish your story in multi-author compilation form. This applies to online, print or other form, in whole or in part, as submitted or edited, including derivations. This also applies to related advertising, newsletters, marketing or public relations programs.  Again, you keep ownership of your submission and are free at any time to publish it separately or in a collection of your own work. You will receive author's credit on your published story as indicated by your preference on the submission form. EDITORIAL We reserve the right, if necessary, to edit submitted works for spelling, grammar, punctuation and length for publishing in Minders' Keepers. LIMITATIONS By entering, you assert that your submission is your own original material and you own the copyright. You indemnify and agree to hold harmless MP Fagan, LTD from any liability arising out of the submission or publication of material to which you do not own the copyright. MP Fagan, LTD will not arbitrate copyright conflicts. Concerns over disputed material must be addressed to the entrant, whose contact information will be provided only as legally required. MP Fagan, LTD's total liability for any claim arising from participation in any publication, including the use of PayPal as our online payment processor, shall not exceed the cost of one contest entry. Authors who submit stories acknowledge that no other remuneration or compensation, except as described above, has been offered or is expected. These rules are subject to occasional review and revision. By submitting your short story you signify that you have read and agree to these rules.
